When is the virtual conference?
The virtual conference will be held September 11th - 12th, 2024.
Does the virtual conference cost the same as the in-person conference?
No, there is a difference in price for attending the virtual conference. The Early Bird rate for all virtual attendees will be $500. Beginning July 1st, 2024, the rate will increase by $100.
If I sign up for virtual, and I want to switch to in-person, can I do that?
Yes, you can switch from virtual to in-person as space is available. Switching from virtual to in-person attendance requests that are received on or before August 1st, 2024 must pay the difference upon their request. Please reach out to inform@hcbsconference.org for any questions.
What are the perks of the virtual conference?
Attendees can attend the conference from the comfort and convenience from wherever they are, while also saving expenses of travel. They will have access to over 190 conference sessions, can connect with over 1,800 attendees, and visit the virtual exhibit hall and connect with our sponsors and exhibitors.
Will I receive a goodie box this year?
No, ADvancing States will no longer be providing goodie boxes to virtual attendees. The conference rate for virtual attendees reflects this change.
Will I receive GrubHub for the conference days?
No, ADvancing States will no longer be providing GrubHub to virtual attendees. The conference rate for virtual attendees reflects this change.
Do I need to log-in all day for the virtual conference?
No, we will have an agenda available for the day, however, you can go in and view any of the sessions you would like.
If I can no longer attend the virtual conference, what is the process?

What online tools do I need for the virtual conference?
Attendees will need a computer with internet access. Having a webcam/microphone is optional.
If I want to attend two sessions at the same time, what do I do?
Attendees can watch only one live session at the time listed on the agenda during the conference. You can watch any session that you missed on-demand at any point after the conference.
How long will I have access to the virtual sessions?
If you sign up to attend the virtual conference, you will have access to the 2024 HCBS Conference on EventsAir for one month after the event. Following this, you will have access to the 2024 HCBS Conference sessions on the Advancing States IQ website.
Are the presentations live?
The presentations have all been pre-recorded. Speakers will be live in the chat answering questions from the virtual attendees at the session time listed on the agenda.
How do I get access to the virtual conference?
Attendees will be sent a logistics email which will include a link to the virtual conference and instruction on how to log-in. Please note, the virtual conference platform will only be available September 9th – October 12th, 2024.

Can I share my virtual conference log-in information?
No, the EventsAir platform does not allow for sharing log-in information. Every attendee will need to register.
